Use five stages: permission, preparation, transcription, review, and export. Keep source and uncertainty visible.
1. Confirm the source
- Permission is clear.
- The intended file or source is selected.
- Sensitive copies are stored appropriately.
2. Prepare
- Close heavy tabs.
- Listen for noise, music, clipping, and overlap.
- Split long files if needed.
3. Transcribe and save
Run the instagram transcript from the local source. Save sections and use time ranges with neutral speaker labels.
4. Review
- Replay names, numbers, and technical terms.
- Mark unclear, inaudible, and overlapping audio.
- Separate visual text from speech.
- Preserve quote context.
5. Export
Use TXT for notes, SRT for captions, or VTT for browser players. Record source, date, time range, speaker, and confidence.
