Instagram transcript workflow
How to review an Instagram transcript efficiently
The fastest reliable method is a targeted second pass: verify names and numbers first, then speakers and timestamps, and finally listen only to the words that still look uncertain. You do not need to replay the whole Reel at full speed.
Start with a transcript, then review by risk
Run your instagram transcript in the browser, keep the result beside the video, and mark anything that could change the meaning. A fluent sentence is not proof that every word is right. Names, product terms, prices, dates, handles, and short words near music are common failure points.
- Circle proper nouns. Check people, places, brands, and usernames.
- Recheck numbers. Replay amounts, percentages, dates, and model numbers slowly.
- Mark speaker changes. Confirm each turn in the audio and video.
- Check timestamps. Ensure each cue lands near the spoken phrase.
A five-minute review pass
Scan: highlight repeated words, abrupt grammar, empty gaps, and phrases that do not fit the visual context.
Listen selectively: replay highlighted spans from about two seconds before the phrase.
Compare: captions are a clue, not unquestionable truth; they can be edited or delayed.
Label uncertainty: use [unclear] or a bracketed alternative instead of inventing a word.
Keep on-screen text separate
Speech transcription and visual text extraction are different jobs. Record discount codes, usernames, chart labels, and text stickers in separate visual notes rather than inserting them into spoken sentences.
Choose the right final format
Use TXT for reading and search, SRT for numbered caption cues, and VTT for browser video players. Before exporting, check cue timing, overlap, and speaker labels.
Final checklist
- Names, handles, numbers, and dates were replayed.
- Overlapping voices and music were not turned into confident words.
- Visual text is separate from speech.
- Uncertain words are marked, not guessed.
- The export format matches the next task.
